EFFICIENCY & LONGEVITY
Rebecca’s teaching method is not only unique but also practical. She helps clients access all the different parts of their voice, thus giving them further choice and flexibility. With a little help from muscle memory, these simple methods allow the student to access their own broad vocal spectrum during the lesson and beyond.
Rebecca works with a variety of levels / vocal styles and genres everything from musical theatre to pop to soul/gospel to hard rock. Her focus is on providing the vocalist with the best ways to use their voice – efficiently, safely and in the ways that best suit them.
Vocal coaching sessions are catered to suit the individual and their needs, to improve vocal technique without compromising their style. After all, it is not just technique that makes a singer special – it is vocal style, performance and personality.
Rebecca is constantly in training. Having already completed many courses with the BVA (British Vocal Association) as well as other vocal institutions, she studies the voice regularly, keeping up to date with all new vocal research, along with conducting her own research into the voice. This ensures that her coaching clients are offered the most up-to-date methods so they can get maximum capability from their voice in a safe and healthy way.
In the singer’s first lesson, Rebecca will conduct an assessment of the student’s voice to establish problem areas and set targets to work towards giving the student an idea of how long it will take to rectify key technique.

“Rebecca gave me confidence to take my voice to places I hadn't ventured before, developing a whole new powerful side to my voice.”
“I cannot recommend Rebecca highly enough. She knows how to draw out the best in people."
“Working with Rebecca has improved my confidence and vocal ability massively within a matter of months. Most definitely would recommend!”
“With her patience and understanding, Rebecca has made me realise the importance of developing and maintaining good presence on stage and also in the studio. I would recommend Rebecca at any chance given. Thank you for your support Rebecca. ”
“Rebecca is an amazing vocal coach who’s transformed the way I sing. I recorded an album last year and she helped me get ready for the vocal sessions, even attending some studio recording sessions to help me get the best results. She worked with me on posture, breathing and technique, and helped me increase my range by almost an octave. But what really makes her special is her focus on lyrical interpretation and the meaning of the songs.”
“Rebecca Phillips really knows her trade and is perfectionist in both the art and science of a great vocal. She always gets the best possible performance out of a vocalist, whether she is polishing the techniques of a seasoned professional, or giving new found skills and confidence to amateurs. I will always send singers to Rebecca before recording them, and would highly recommend her to anyone thinking of contracting her services.”
